You should only buy from someone that actually tests their engines before they sell them but its a bit late for that now Mad
The dots should line up with the lines but make sure that there is no slack in the belt from crank to exhaust cam to inlet cam and all slack being between inlet cam and crank.
the best way to check this is to turn the crank 2 turns and make sure all marks line up.
take the top cam cover off and set crank to 0 degree and check the cam dots and lines line up.

The other thing to check is ignition timing and fault codes.

If you are still stuck take it to Toyospares 9720-3177 and just get fixed. Smile
