tobyoste Occasional Poster Location: Sydney Registered: February 2004	Re: need answer quick for-AE92sx 20v swap please Tue, 17 May 2005 22:29 You don't need to replace the body loom, just work out which wires have been relocated on the plugs by comparing the body loom plugs on both the written off car (car A) and the one that now has the 20v in it (car B). Check all plugs that go to the engine loom under the dash on both cars and check if wire colours are different. Also check the body loom plugs that goes into the ECU (from memory, two plugs for the ECU are part of the Engine loom but one plug comes from the body loom). The guy who converted Car A would have made some modifications to his body loom to make it work (I certainly had to with my 20v conversion in an AE92) and you need to replicate these changes. Check out the wiring diagram in the Technical Docs of the ToyMods site (4A-GE 20valve wiring.zip) for how the engine wiring works. There are other copies of these wiring diagrams on the net where some of the japanese has been translated slightly better - but I can't remember the exact sites . Unfortunately these wiring diagrams only include details of wiring for the motor and not other general electrics for the car but they should be enough to help your problem.
