TDC= top dead centre.
BDC= bottom dead centre
So i would assume that BTDC= bottom top dead centre
hope that helps. As for setting timing it is important to find TDC and then make sure that ur marks are what they should be, ei, find TDC then make sure the 1st notch lines up with the ur reference mark. advance the timing accordingly.
Also buy a cheap carby rebuild kit from a parts store. Fuel miser make one for the 2t carb which cost around $40. Should be very similar for the 18rc
I am 16 and a complete amature and managed to rebuild my own 2t carb in a few hours, failing that, take it to a carby specialist.
If u decide to rebuild the carb urself, CRC make a great product called carby clean(pressure pack), this will clean the parts of ur carby much better then most other chemicals.
