do a compression test.
if you are getting a higher cranking pressure than you would expect for those cams, then that could be your problem (ie dynamic compression is too high). what static CR did you design for? what overlap are the cams?
next put a multimeter on the oxygen sensors output and have a look.. is it going lean? (ie leaner than stoich) (or take it to someone with a wideband/dyno... if i were you i'd dyno it anyway just to make sure the mixtures are ok)
you need to eliminate the issues step by step...
