Thanks for the responses guys...
had Boxer from Perfromance Buildups Magazine come over last night to have a look and we checked all hoses again and they all looked fine, so he started to bypass a couple of the switches/valves/thingymejigs and whatsits (sorry for the technical terms). Taking it for a drive after each fiddle..
Holy fwuck..... We found the problem....
I am not sure exactly what this bit is called, but when it's bypassed, the poor performance problem is well and truely gone..
This thing is going to be an animal. It just wants to break traction and fry the tyres as soon as it comes on boost.. - Whilst Fun, - this is not a good thing for a daily driver that has to remain sedate and comfortable etc...
Now all I have to do is get the kickdown gearbox problem sorted and I'll be right... My model has not got a kick down Cable, but rather a wire from the ECU that went to a switch on the Aristo that was fitted under the pedal. The other wire from the switch went to ground. The switch will not fit on the cressida (different type of pedal set up) - but even when we ground this wire under WOT - it does not kick down...
