The other complication is that many 'progressive' springs are effectively linear when installed, and are only progressive to keep the spring captive at full droop - I know my front low Kings are this way. This may well not be the case with your stock rear springs at all, but just a thought.

I find it hard to believe that the original stock springs would be progressive anyway.
