Head = teh easy.
Splits = marginally harder
Amp = depend on location but still not difficult

Seriously if anyone suggests just cutting the parcel shelf just keep driving.

Assuming it is a wooden parcel shelf I think you'll find most people would cut it.
I don't think there is any major danger involved with 6x9's on a standard parcel shelf... unfastened subs have been known to smack people in the head though. (Ask Rollaboy)
