Thanks for your help...
The reason why I am interested is because my 22R-E is on the way out and I'm gonna go with a 3S-GE to replace it, but I'm not sure which version to go with. I have spoken to a local guy that has done these conversions and said I might as well go for the third gen (173hp) coz it's the same price as a second gen (156hp), does this sound right?
What model is the third gen out of? Are they readily available?
I have only read and heard good things about the 3S-GE and thats why I came to my decision and have no doubt that its the best toyota engine.
