Hehe, daily driver that does a lot of freeway driving
Found the bits. Control wand was indeed one of the stalks. The lettering had all faded off so I didn't realise there were more functions on it than normal!
The computer is on the passenger side tucked behind the blower unit. Took me 2 hours to find it! Took the whole dash apart, found the central locking module (under the dash pad, above the glove compartment), couldn't find the unit so traced the wires from the switch
My Camry (and all the other ones with power mirrors and central locking, it seems), has some of the plugs required for the cruise control (all the ones in the engine bay: actuator and vacuum solonoids, cruise control main switch) but is missing some ie control unit, brake switch, maybe set/resume switch. Does anyone know where the wires that are existing actually go? I was hoping that it was just a different loom that plugged in, but after taking the other car apart it doesn't look like it, it's all part of one loom. It's as if someone started making the loom for the cruise control, and then decided they were too lazy so just left the rest
