I wouldnt do it either, mainly because of the distance between the sump and the road. Dont particularly want to make it any easier to destroy sump plugs.
|
Methinks it be more of an issue of your chosen temp sensor snapping off and letting all the oil out, rather than damaging a precious component like a sump plug 
|
