GIN51E Forums Junkie I supported Toymods Location: Berowra-Sydney Registered: July 2002	Re: R.I.P RA23 Celica Thu, 02 January 2003 02:32 Well i got myself a new car now, its a 1993 5 door Charade metalic blue with a 1.3L 4 cylinder EFI car, and NO LONGER Insured with NRMA. Well i got a phone call from NRMA saying that they were no longer going to pay me the $4,000 for the car as it had rust and hail damage which i had not told them about, well after a bit of arguing and saying that it has no hail damage and the lady at the other end of the phone saying that she has the photo's to prove it he sayed that she would make a deal and pay me $2,000. Not happy with that i told her i would call her back and made a phone call to the smash repair place and told them what was going on and he said to tell them to get stuffed and not to give in to them and to quoet to them that he is a trained assesor and he did not notice any hail damage on the car and only minimal rust which was not located anywhere near the accident damage, having this under my sleeve i called the lady at NRMA back and talked to her for about 20min with her trying to fight me the whole time saying that there was hail damage and she had photo's in front of her to prove it and claiming there was $800 worth of rust in the car which somehow she managed to work out by simply looking at photo's, at this point i have lost my temper and start to go off at her over the phone and tell her she can jam the $2,000 up her arse as i am prepaired to take this further and put it forward to the NRMA head office which at the time she suddenly changed her attitude and said "Well under the circumstances we will pay you the $4,000 which the car was insured for" fuck i hate NRMA now, just trying to screw you over and i wonder how many people don't stand up for themself and get screwed, car was insured for $4,000 and that was the agreed value so there was no way they were going to get out of paying me that $4,000 but my word did they try. I'm still a member of NRMA road side assistance as they are fantastic and great people but there's no way in hell i will ever insure my car or anything with them again, put simply they are a pack of arseholes which screw you with high premiums and are more then happy to take your money to insure your car but once it comes time for them to pay up they try and screw you over. anyway my tip to you is if you ever write your car off make sure you get the agreed value your car was insured for and don't let them try and lower the value in anyway. fucking NRMA insurance [Report message to a moderator]
