On the way back from home on Saturday my speedo needle was bouncing around a little. Then the cable snapped and the needle dropped to zero Mad

Given that the car is 32 years old I thought my only option would be to chase one down at a wreckers.

Where would you have a new cable made? I assume you give them your old one so they can use the threaded end caps etc.
