Mon, 30 May 2005 03:04 Hydra - I read the previous threads on this subject, and started from there with cost and availability and given the run around I had today, I was nearly tempted to buy OEM as well... Sorry about that JCMF, lazy typing on my behalf. I know next to nothing about GTE history and was going from memory from old posts on this subject. I did a SEARCH on this and found a lot of useful info that saved me typing stupid questions and started me searching for the right part. I think I got a different series of part numbers on the EPC for the later GTE engines, so I assumed that they are not compatible. And yep - fixed the car so well with the boost I have got, the rear main seal leak is now a flood and the clutch has cried enough......so the boost works well !!!! I think the clutch was slipping almost from day 1 as I never felt I had the power to the rear wheels as much as the engine was screaming up front.....
