since im guessing that the police officer has not alot of idea what she was going on about like usual theyve seen your modified car and decided to give you a little hassling. im also guessing that if u put things back to standard youll throw them back on after you get your defect cleared, but its just the hassle anyways.
is the defect a full inspection or part inspection? meaning just fix the listed parts or pretty much a whole new pink slip.
if u can find a local mechanic just do a bit of talking and tell them how you were singled out etc and offer a little extra money. dont bother changing anything since youll put it back on anyways. just say to the guy, look ill give u an extra 50 bucks or whatever, just clear it and tell him that you wont take the papers to the rta for like a few days. dont forget to mention that if he does clear it for you that when you went to the servo it was stock. that way it covers both your asses.
