I had a similar problem on my MZ20 a few weeks ago. The car was running fine then the next day it was running really rich (lots of black smoke out the exhaust) It was so bad i couldn't drive the car without it miss firing. Check engine light indicated a malfunction in the thermostate circuit. After some testing i found a broken wire for the coolant temp sensor near the ECU. You've gotta love the Japs with all their scotch locks....... Once fixed i drove the car for 10min to clean the plugs up and it was fine again. Just a thought. Cheers [Report message to a moderator]
