seriously guys just because things are meant to be done doesnt mean they are done. great example: im sure at school you had homework to do but didn't do it anyways. just because someone gives you a defect doesnt mean its a defect. i had this deadshit goose copper tell me he my cannon was "defectable" because in his words exactly "i don't like it". and just because a mechanic is meant to test drive your car and check everything doesnt mean that they do or will. btw not all defects are full inspection, there are boxes at the bottom that must be filled in to specify whether they are part or full.
just take the car to a local mechanic, offer him a little extra, and work some magic. like there is any difference with going to standard to clear a defect when the car will be exactly the same in a couple of days. save youself the hassle and part with an extra $50. theres my 2C.
