I told you not to argue with teh n3rd Unfortunately I have to arue with teh n3rd. But you think of when Yoda says in the shuttle something like "A prophecy misread is a dangerous thing..." It seems as though Yoda had his doubts about how the prophecy would come about. I agree with Cal, the prophecy is that "he will bring balance to the force" the rest is assumed by the Jedi (and Witzl). I really believe that all the jedi read it as Witzl does. Which is wrong (IMHO). They didn't know the power of the dark side. If what Witzl believes is true than the whole "you were the chosen one!" scene is defunct and should have been in episode 6 - appropriately modified like Obie-Wan coming back as a ghost and saying "well done chosen one" or something like that.
