Id be cheaking that the cams are getting a good supply of oil to them, while you were doing the T/Belt was the oil baths under the cams full

Havn't done that.
I think the bearings in the idler pulley are shot.
But still don't think they would make that kinda noise.
Damn wish I could record it some how.
