Thanks for the replies!
Paul, it has a water pick-up and it pumps straight through the engine, most raceboats of this kind use the same set-up, and the engine is very well flushed with fresh water at the end of the day while the engine is still warm, I had a 502 ci chev with aluminum heads and after pulling it down , there was never any prob's, the boat is only in the water for a small amount of time, and you adjust the temperature with a valve
Grant:
I was going to give you a call on this one, and to keep you up to date with it all, but I don't have your phone #, I was going to call Tim tomorrow and get it of him, I'm a bit cramped for room for a 1j alternator, so I'll do the rounds at the wreckers and see if I can find something little, or maybe a motorbike one might be the go!, also can a alternator spin either way?, that might make it easier to fit if it does!!
Regards
Dave
