Remember that the Jedi have great difficulty seeing into the future when the Sith have an influence; they are only able to see that which is controlled by good forces (ie jedi) and only see what the Sith (dark side) are planning when it is virtually upon them. With this in mind, think about the plight of Anakin/Vader (as he is the chosen one) throughout this complete story (1-6). When the Jedi looked into the prophecy they would have only seen that which the chosen one did under the influence of the light side of the force.... and as such would not have been able to see that he becomes a Sith. They would just see this uber-powerful kid becoming a Jedi, and then bringing balance to the force (the force being the one thing that surrounds us and binds the galaxy) by destroying the sith - which Anakin does at the end of ep6 when he turns back from the dark side. So in essence you could say that at the time of the prophecy being read, the Jedi were ignorant to the events from mid ep3 to near the end of ep6... they only saw the events without those dark times in between. Boba Fett is still my most favourite character, which is why i was so pissed off that Lucas decided to re-dub his voice with Temura Morrison. If you read "The Bounty Wars" books (i havent) they tell that Boba Fett gets out of the pit of Sarlacc by firing his rocket after fixing the malfunction... Yoda was also far better as the little insane dude on Dagobah. Shraka - i like your idea of a half-rebuilt Vader, perhaps learning of the death of Padme before he was able to get out.... so that Sidius could twist his mind even further into hatred. I also think that Anakin should have been a far more calculating Sith pre obewan hacking. His angry yelling was stupid, when he yells out "i hate you", i think it should have been far more internal anger. Meh... ive wasted enough time at work today.... [Report message to a moderator]
