It was at 1:34am on Friday morn with no other cars around (took about 5 mins for one to pass us after I pulled over) But I've got an even better excuse for needing a car for work (apart from the 40 000km I've clockd up on the one supplied for me) in that I supervise roadworks, which is, ummm, kind of on the road ,where you need to drive to. I had a previous 85 in a 70 zone in Oct 2002. But I've done about 130 000km since then. doesnt matter what time of day it was 156k's an hour is fugging rediculos on a public road. no matter what ends up happening to yourself, have a look in the mirror. unless you were dieing of a heart attak or taking a pregnent women to hospital, that speed's un acceptable. I disagree. On the f5 I have been a lot faster than that. however there was this straight that meant I could see for 3km or so, the road was completely empty in both directions. Now as i see it, that's taking my own life in my hands. I agree that speeding like that is dangerous IF there are people around, but when you are by yourself, if you want to do it, it might not be safe, but at least you are only going to kill yourself. Now that I talk about it, it seems kinda stupid.... [Report message to a moderator]
