Thanks for the tips. I'm checking into the Castlemaine Rod Shop fitting of a similar supercharger to the Holden V6 engines - and hope to learn more and whether they blow through or suck through the throttle. I figure if I can set up the SC clutch to disengage when the throttle is closed (using the throttle microswitch) that may work, or, as discussed in a following post, use a bypass valve. If all else fails, I'll go the suck-through route. It's just a big pain to re-locate the throttle (longer cables, mounting brackets, fiddling around with cruise control, etc.....)
As for the manuals, I have figured out what year the SC engine came in MR2's in the states (looks like 1988 it was available - any other info on years as I am unfamiliar with the "AW11" code, not being a Toyota freak....the engine designations are like heiroglyphics as well to me!), so I can search for a manual online or have my folks check the Toyota dealer for me.
