doesnt matter what time of day it was 156k's an hour is fugging rediculos on a public road.

no matter what ends up happening to yourself, have a look in the mirror. unless you were dieing of a heart attak or taking a pregnent women to hospital, that speed's un acceptable.

I also disagree to a point.
156 is quite reasonable on a 3 lane, very well built motorway with zero traffic and perfect visibility.

These roads (M4, F3, M5 etc.) are built to a speed rating far above what the speed limit of the road currently is.

Wagonist would probably be one of the most likely people to know or be able to find out what these engineering specs are.

If I were you Wagonist I would be hitting the filing room and looking for those engineering specs!

Also remember that if a person honestly believed they were travelling too fast they would naturally decrease their speed to get back into their comfort zone.
Unless of course that person is a suicidal psychopath or something.

It sort of shows that most people do not entirely agree with the set speed limits as so many people get done for speeding... so much in fact that the police have a dedicated command who almost exclusively enforce speed limits (i.e. Hwy Patrol).

I think the most dangerous people on the roads are those people who drive to the speed limit when clearly they should have slowed down.
e.g. very heavy rain on the hwy, busy pedestrian area, heavy traffic etc.
It is these sorts of people who get themselves and others killed every day, not people like wagonist who give their car a blat on a dead flat road with zero traffic late at night.
