This is why I also get annoyed about the Americanisms creeping in. We're Australian, not American! I just can't understand how people can be so gullible ... ? I agree. I know what you mean regarding "gullible". When I see Aussie kids running around and talking gangster, forming US-like gangs and talking like poor, uneducated and ghetto US black people I am not sure whether to feel sorry or laugh. This isn't a go at US African people, just the specific area of their culture (that may suit them 'cos they invented and purpetuate it), but is totally out of place in the Australian culture. It's more of a go at our youth who seem to have the inane inability to define themselves and just imitate the worse aspects of another culture and its dialog. Maybe they think it's cool and tough - but it just comes over really dumb. Guess I'm getting too old to appreciate this sort of thing. seeyuzz river [Report message to a moderator]
