unfortunatly the rate of expansion and contraction between acrylic laquer base coat and a 2K clear is differant and therefore will separate over time giving the flaking off of the clear like old commodores etc. ie: dosen't work

the methods of blending and touch ups for acrylic laquer and 2k are the same, 2K if anything is less temperamental so easier for the amatuer. Solid coulors use a different method thats even easier again such as white or red.

enamel doesen't have the UV protection like 2k so will fade, touch ups are also tricky though i do it every day.
