I was going to say the 3K is a much stronger block than the 4K, but I didn't know that there was a 4K block with the extra ribbing - It may well be as strong as a 3K.
Everyone that's tried a 4K block in the Sports 1300 class has had them crack in the place Bmak wrote.
I guess you could make a rough check to see if an extra-ribbed 4K block is about as strong as a 3K by measuring the weight of the two.
