Thanks re: what the Rod Shop do. I have been perusing web sites looking at bypass valves. The Bosch valve looks pretty simple and I should be able to get a couple at one of the local European car wreckers, if not new ones. Due to their simplicity, the should be a lot cheaper than the "race-style" billet aluminium ones. Good to hear that your vent hoses also breathe a bit. I was worried about the seals in my SC. I did look into the SC the other day and noticed some wear/scraping on the pulley end of the housing (inside), where it looks like the end of the rotors contacted the housing. Is this normal? I'm assuming that there is some end play in the rotors, allowing them to just kiss the ends of the housing if conditions are right, but if this sounds like bad news, please let me know! I have yet to check the oil in the gear case. I hope it's nice and clean. When I bought the SC, it had a lot of dirty engine oil in it. THe guy said he squirted some oil in there just to make sure it didn't run dry.....I'm a bit dubious! I'll need new gaskets for the inlet and outlet ports - are they available new in OZ or sould I make my own?? Thanks folks! Greg [Report message to a moderator]
