TE-72 Turbo,
I have every intention of testing out this therory myself once Tina's car is on the raod. However the small twin Turbo's on the 1G may not aid the theory all that well.
Theory suggests that the greater the load on the engine the sooner the Turbo will come on boost and it is supposed to well an truely outway the benefits of the taller gearing. I intend to run bot a 3.7 and a 4.1 (or 4.3 if I can find one) and see the difference personally.
I am aware of one application where the car did not make boost in first gear due to large turbo's when running a 4.1 ratio but after fitting a 3.7 it now generates boost in first quit happily.
One again this is all as I have been told and I am looking forward to testing it all out for myself. It could simply be that the turbo engines are better with a lower ratio (numerically) purely so you don't have to change gears so often ?
