clubagreenie Forums Junkie Location: 1st street on the right Registered: November 2002	Re: my diff is leaking oil Mon, 06 January 2003 04:51 First remove tail shaft, then with handbrake on or car still on ground remove large nut on diff flange (where the tshaft bolts to). remove the axles then the diff centre. With the diff in a vice remove the carrier then slide out the pinion gear. You may need to remove the bearing carrier to get to the seal but I'd probably replace the bearings anyway, both pinion and carrier. Just make sure to keep and replace any shims behind the pinion bearing carriers as these adjust your end float and preload. Replace seal and bearings etc. Don't forget to refill oil.
