I put a 6M-GE in my MA61 Supra some years ago after the 5M-E suffered a premature death. As GT mentioned, it's a piece of piss to install as it's from the same engine family; you have to swap the sump and oil pickup but that's about as complex as it gets. I think the engine was originally fitted to mid-80's Crowns but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I just needed a mod-plate to get my car legal in Qld. No brake/suspension mods, and no engineers certificate. It may be a different story in other states though. Speak to an engineer or your local transport authority.
