For a 2 litre NA engine 2.5inch is fine....of course, not for a completely stock standard one. If you are running higher compression and a higher flow head or a wicked cam, then the extra flow of a 2.5 exhaust is always handy, extractors are always good. As much as standard "headers" are good, I've never really thought of them as being up to scratch. Depends though - just my 2 cents.
