who said anything about changing over the booster?

what he means is it will make the brakes harder to push and wont slow the car down any quicker.

you can ass around all you like with master and slave cylinders, but braking performance comes down to pad and disc design.

i'm all for bigger master cylinders however, more direct brakes without going crazy and pissing off the brake booster.

He was talking about not getting rid of the booster all together! Stupid sloppy vacuum setup, introducing play, loss of feel geez if your a man with tree trunks for legs why not ditch it lol Razz

As far as I'm aware a bigger master gives harder & shorter pedal travel, and a smaller master gives easier & longer pedal travel. It is a trade off. There really isn't anything to be gained in terms of performance (unless the cyl is under size for the application and isn't capable of flowing enough fluid in the first place...unlikely but possible). It depends on what you like Smile

Its a trade off, there are other things that can be changed as well, such as the pedal ratio.

EDIT:
Meant to make a note that I think MX83's also have what appears to be a 1" master, another option I suspect if you want a 1" master.

Cheers
Wilbo
