I did the Ian Luff thing. It POURED that day, but I was bored all day long. All it teaches you is braking and swerving.
I didn't learn a single thing about car control, but then again I've had to do all of that (many times) on the street. Driving like a maniac most of the time helps you learn that...
The only time I came close to losing control was the braking around a corner exercise. I came around the corner real fast and was starting to understeer as the guy blew the whistle. I slammed on the brakes and threw in a heal-toe downshift just for added spice and came to a stop...
It was interesting to see the handling characteristics of the different cars though.
Utes just totally suck...
Excels will lock up their rears first on hard braking... That's just shocking....
4WDs with ABS are some of the best brakers around! Man they pull up quick!
Oh yeah, and it's held at Oran Park.
