The early ST185 pads are indeed the same as the ST165 ones, they are listed as Bendix DB1181 on that site (under Toyota Passenger/Celica/1988-89 Celica 4WD) The early ST185's carried over the same twin piston calipers that were fitted to the ST165's.

thanks heaps for that matt! man i feel so relieved! so i did buy the right pads after all bendix DB1181AD Very Happy

and man do you know how long i've been trying find that discpads.com site! i remember a friend showing me the site but couldn't find it in google i kept typing "brake pads" in the search hahaahha

well all i need now are the rotors from dba cheers.

the photos are great, an if only i had found this picture earlier i wouldnt of even had to ask so many questions lol

but you know what the funny thing is, i have no idea how i even managed to get the right pads because i only found out about the difference in brake calipers and rotors for early and late st185s AFTER i purchased the pads.
