It's only useful if you're transfering stuff around from computer to computer. The 3.5" ones are larger, faster and cheaper. But heavier (the reason why I didn't buy one, too heavy to be lugging around with my laptop). Having said that, unless you're going to be using multiple computers, just save money and buy an internal! [Report message to a moderator]
