Yeah the chain tensioner o-ring is a problem with these engines!
i took mine out to try and replace it but could never find one that would fit it properly!
I have a temp fix tho, it sounds dodgy but it definently worked on my old 18RG.
Undo the tensioner a few turns so the hole in the end of it has fair bit of clearance. then pump it full of silastic, and let it dry before you re-tension it again!
