I think you'll find that they are ball bearing cored, It seems silly to think that Nissan whould go backward in turbo technology for its greatest GTR skyline ever.
That said, me reckons a pair of GTR turbos would make a pretty good match for a potent 1G. Laggy? i dont know, this will be dicated by you're plumbing. But your boost threshhold will be med/high me thinks. (maybe 3500-4000 odd rpm) but once you hit that. BAM!!!, the old fork in the eye.
