Personally I don't think so... I've played the tarmac stage in the Richard Burns Rally countless times that I can now beat Burns time by more than 5 seconds!
Every single stage in the game has different personality, you actually pass the rolling hills in the background, you can see the road extend into the horizon for literally miles on the fast sections and really predict when you can push the limit. The way the car reacts over the rises and the dips is second to none. Thats where the lasting appeal is for me, in the variety of stages, not the ridiculous amount of similar stages. I'm hanging out for Richard Burns Rally 2.
Let me just say that you don't need 500 cars and 70 odd variations of courses in a game to make it good. This game is a good example. I saw it in EB for $25 brand new on the weekend during their sale, its a BARGAIN!
