They are very fine cars, the 7MGTE (MZ20 soarer) ones have the same associated issues all 7M toyotas have, but the rest of the car is basically the same as the GZ20 1G-GTE soarer, which is a very solid engine from what i've read about it. (unless you let stradlater or MR-1JZ use one! Laughing )

Only thing it's lacking is a bit of power.... in its stock form anyway.

They seem to come in a variety of levels of trim, some have leather interior, tan dash, some have black dash and interior (like mine), if you can get one with a bodykit, do so, as the standard bodykit seems fairly highly prized and rare, cause so many soarers DONT have it Smile

mine doesnt really have any serious rust problems anywhere, but leaves can get into the front quarter panels so check in there for any rust from decomposing leaves etc.

Try and get yourself a manual one, save yourself the journey I'm doing now (unless you want an auto one??)

The MZ21 soarer is the 7MGTE soarer, except with air suspension. the MZ21 GT Turbo Limited is a very very nice car... ones i've seen have TV's, leather interior, bodykit, and overall look like REAL nice plush cars... almost like a two-door crown, hehehe Wink

Height controllers and stuff are available for the air suspension so if you're after something more cushy I guess that would be the way to go.

Just... look around.... choose wisely. I thought mine was a great buy but then found i got absolutely shafted price wise. I paid 6400 for mine... there's nothing really too wrong with it... just needs a respray. and a kit. and a manual transmission to replace the tired auto one. and new suspension. Meh!

Look around and you'll find some really awesome ones... They are a great car to drive... they definitely have a SOLID feeling to them, definitely dont feel flimsy, they feel like very confident cars to drive and even mine with its boaty suspension feels fairly sure of itself on the black top, and I really enjoy it.

I hope you decide to get one! add another one to the ranks! Wink

Cheers
James
