hi there,
it's not the sensor, it's that u need to adjust the ignition timing on the computer to make these cams idle and runs perfect.

I understand that you have to run an afetrmarket computer cause you can't get a big enough manifold vaccum reading for them to work. Anything bigger then about 264 degrees and you'll start having problems.
So I guess your right TRD-GTI, but I also suspect running these with stock ignition settings would not be good...

i run 267 degree cams and dont have vacuum problem. idles perfectly with adjustable cam gears. however, somehow the stock ecu runs really rich at idle. have S-AFC to sort that out
