Generally "installation costs" are cheaper for a turbo as a supercharger requires some fairly sturdy brackets, careful alignment pulleys and belts however if a supercharger was available for a version of your engine (4AGZE or 1GGZE for example) it is fairly inexpensive to purchase either. The cost for setting up forced induction vary depending on how well you want to do it and exactly how much boost you want to make.
"engine life" depends greatly on how well you have installed your power adder, how good your intercooler is and whether the engine has been modified for turbo use. A cheap low pressure turbo or supercharger setup probably wont tax a stock engine too much (5-7 psi with a decent intercooler) but if you want to run 3 bar then expect some heavy engine mods.
"petrol consumption" The more power you make the more petrol you use. If I drive my supercharged AW11 fairly sedately it gets fairly good fuel consumption. If I thrash the crap out of it I need to fill up much more often. This is offset by the grin that it puts on my face
