Mon, 13 January 2003 01:49 Im in the Norbie School of Celica upgrades Celica cost me 2K - was my nana's car - came with the 2.5 inch sports exhaust New ( thanks to my dad ! * haha !! ) I picked up a fully rebuilt and worked 2tb ( drag spec ) worth $2500 all the work had been done to it bar induction and Dizzy remap for 800 bux - and it came with a spare 5 speed Picked up my front and rear swaybars ( rear one brand new ) for 100 bucks !! Ive just spent the last 2 weeks doing up a set of mk2 supra mags to mirror finish + resprayed the inners - came up a treat - need tyres though Interior wise - Ive put a nice stereo in ( just a cd head unit - and decent speakers - No doof doofs and Prelude bucket seats. Much comfier and cheaper than the SAAS units i was looking at Purchased an as new weber 45 side draft + manifold + linkages for less than half price for new , and a set of genie Extractors for the other side All up - including motor - Ive probably spent 2K on the old beast - I still have to re-cam the motor - finish a few suspension things - redo the front brakes - and do up the remaining body/paint issues It wont be a show car - just a neat Street cruiser with a thumping 2t-b in it Expected cost ( excluding paint ) for remaining mods - less than 2K So - its still going to cost me in excess of 8K all up to get it where i want My big dollars will go into the next project - possibly a St185 or St205 Gt4 - [Report message to a moderator]
