In America, the E70 sedans had a 3T motor standard. (TE71, TE72 etc..) I think all 70 series corollas with a T series motor (2T-GEU, 3T) had the old recirc-ball steering box. I think only later KE, and all AE Corollas had the rack and pinion. I think the T motors have a bigger sump and block so the rack and pinion does not fit under them.
So... I think you will have to go back to the old steering box in the KE70 if you want to use a T motor, and have it all "bolt in". So swap the whole TE72 crossmember over. Gearbox crossmember and shifter hole maybe in a slightly different spot, not sure.
