It really depends on what YOU want from it and the kinds of parts you can acquire.
Me personally, I'm going with a 4age smallport bottom with GZE pistons and a bigport head. Why? Because i can use all the RWD gear from my current bigport, eg. water outlets, intake manifold etc. I picked up an entire smallport engine with flywheel for DIRT cheap as well.
Add that to the fact that i want a brand new engine so am going with a complete rebuild. AFAIK, putting GZE pistons into a 20v head makes it an interference engine due to the lack of the 5th valve cut on the piston.
