The only reason the rack and pinion didn't fit in my KE70/2T-G project was that the engine to gearbox angle bracket fouled on the boss where the steering column entered the rack body.

I just removed the passenger side bracket and have had no problems thus far with the engine torquing off the gearbox... Laughing
