4agte Forums Junkie Location: Toronto, Downtown Registered: September 2004	Re: 4agte's Aus Spec aw11 "4agte" project ** with new pics ** Thu, 30 June 2005 07:18 i want to be able to just touch my pedal and get instant response not like it is now. the brakes are fantastic when you stand on them from say 130 or 160 but when your trying to balance the chassis just by tapping the brakes i find that having to stand on them is annoying and not quick enough i dunno maybee its just the way i drive the pads are great good bite when cold awsome when hot but also the brake booster is from the n/a i dont know if that makes a difference because of less vaccume but when ive driven s/c cars they tend to brake alot better for some reason even tho the discs and calipers are the same. maybee its just the age of my brake booster or brake calipers in any case im willing to fiddle.. i will speak to an engineer about the brakes cause i will need to get them engineered but i dont think a bigger booster when your running bigger calipers will be a drama then again im just guessing. i dont have too much problem with the fronts locking up now that i have lucas pads all round i have heard that people use a better pad at the front to induce some dive to allow the front of the car to turn in but thats just what ive read. edit: they wont be huge compared to the aw11 s/c brakes. The s/c discs are 252mm i think from memory and the gt4 discs are 272mm slightly larger but definatly not 330mm thats a massive increase [Updated on: Thu, 30 June 2005 07:20] [Report message to a moderator]
