I know what the motor is and I don't think it is part of the 4A family. You can usually tell this because of the code used...so basically anything with 4A in the engine name is part of the same family...like the 4AFC.
That doesn't mean you cannot put a 4A-GE in your car. Even though you have an engine that is not apart of the 4A family, the model of car you have is the same chassis shape as the corolla's with the 4A engine in it. It is apart of the AE-92 chassis.
So therefore you should be able to do a straight swap with not too much hassle, although don't quote me on that
To know how much work it will be and whether it's possible, head down to a mechanic and get them to look over it...and make sure you get more than one opinion.
