My problem is engine won't fire. I believe the problem is in the carburettor and used a tuneup kit to replace the bootpump (which had split), the pump plunger assembly and a few other things.
Can some one describe how this carby works please? The fuel bowl fills with fuel OK. However, I don't see any fuel appearing at the outlets in the choke/bowl cover. Is this to be expected? If so, what is the sequence of steps that must occur before fuel should appear there?
For example, after the fuel bowl fills, is the next step that fuel passes through the primary jet to the primary venturi? A description would help me find what's going wrong, cheers ... Greg
