Sat, 08 June 2002 03:44 One further thought..the original 2Litre 3SGE is the hot motor to get, similar to MR2, later models had the F series camry sedan motor not as sporty or revvy (probably more reliable-butless power) The orig spark plugs are platinum-good for 100klm unless the local garage gives it a "service" -in go the ordinary ones. Rubber Cam belt breaks around 120000 klm and did not damage the head. Stock fault intermittent starting (auto) fixed with a bypass relay to starter solenoid (this fault both cars) Alternator brushes, CV's went both cars around 160000. Keep the front spoiler etc fixed..affects cooling. The extractors/exhaust manifold go thin and crack, if orig, at 250000 Klms Ditch the stereo and the electric aerial, crap and expensive to fix, go aftermarket. [Report message to a moderator]
