Confused i think ill probly go with 4age but after seeing the dramas with converting my bros car from auto 2 manual i no for a fact there willl be manny dramas........ that site is ace and please keep updating it so i no wats gonna go wronglllooolll....a custom tailshaft will obviously be in order but how did u do the engine mounts?? and wat did u do bout wiring and mounting the computer???
have u started it yet?

The car is as you see it on my site.

I'm getting my brother in law to make the engine mounts for me. I'm planning on using ford escort engine mount rubbers on the standard cross member mounts and making custom mounts from the rubbers to the block.

I got a TA22 diff that was already modified to fit the KE30 and a TA22 tailshaft with a sprinter yoke already fitted. The tailshaft needs to be shortened.

I'm an auto elec so the wiring wont be an issue.

ive been looking on the parts fourum and i searched "4age gearbox" and came across a few rwd engine and gearbox packages.....mostly out of sprinters.... would this be a good buy...then all ill need is to find engine mounts and to customise the cross member, tailshaft and a desent lsd....

Most of the rwd 4age "packages" you will find will be out of sprinters. As frontspinner said if you know it's history then you should be pretty safe. Get the sprinter gearbox mount with the gearbox if you can as this will bolt straight to the KE55 gearbox crossmember.

As for a hydraulic clutch setup, most people use a TA22 setup. You can also use a setup out of an AE71 corolla or AE86 sprinter.

Sorry for the essay Wink .
